Questioning Cats’ Integrity

My cat often kills things; lizards, small mammals, snakes, the occasional bird.

He leaves them as gifts on my front doorstep.

I was just wondering, if he came across an animal that was already dead, would he pass it off as his own kill?

I guess, ultimately the question is:

Are cats regifters?

Haha. If he’s a lazy cat who just needs some attention maybe. Or if theres a new cat in town he could regift something to get on your good side.

      Hey Janette,

      Thanks for the comment.

      A) he’s very much NOT lazy, unless it’s raining or really cold outside.
      B) he’s usually on my good side, except when it’s 1:00 a.m. and he paces outside my window with his irritating, persistent and rhythmic crys.
      C) there are a lot of hawks around here who do their fare share of murder so, that’s where the trust issues come from. đŸ™‚
