Quantum mechanics…
Which dimension am I in?
Am I really me?

Haiku Fo-Yu! vol 15

Being that 14 is my favorite number, and this is my 14th Haiku Fo-Yu!, I feel like writing on a topic that is near and dear to my heart. I hope this doesn’t discredit me in any way. If I had any cred to begin with…

I love you, Mary Jane

Green and sticky buds
Line them all up in a row
Which one will I choose?

I thought I ran out
Then Ben checked the ‘Spirit Drawer’
Manna from heaven.

First, you apply flame
Then, you inhale and hold it
Now, your mind opens.

Smoke the medicine
Breathe it into your body
Let the stress dissolve

Thanks for reading.

**note: upon reading this the next day, I realized that this is not my 14th post. Maybe I shouldn’t have done “research” for this post immediately before writing it. Haha…whoops**

Our deepest fear…

One of my favorite quotes of all time is from the movie Coach Carter. This particular quote was read by Timo Cruz, played by Rick Gonzalez; whom I believe to be an underutilized young actor. I feel it’s worthy of sharing. Enjoy.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Death to the ego!

The ego tells you that you are different from everyone else, and helps to point out all those differences.

The ego tells you that what you have is better than what he has. When you feel superior, your body provides you with an endorphine rush which can make judgement addictive.

The ego tells you that you are you.

It feeds off judgement, and often makes itself feel worthy by diminishing the qualities of another.
I say, “death to the ego!”

You and I are cut from the same primordial fabric.

By fighting you, I am fighting myself.

By loving and accepting you, I do the same of myself.

I guess it is up to me to ‘be the change (I) want to see in the world.’ ~Gandhi
